:: done! ::

To say I have achieved a lifelong dream would be an understatement. It has been 24 years in the making and not a moment too soon. I always said I wanted to be a teacher since first grade, but sometimes we have to gain life experience before really knowing what we want to do and I am grateful for the 7+ years I've spent in the legal world. I suppose all the days playing teacher with my younger sisters was good practice, and those aptitude tests were right. I was bound to be a teacher.

I applied to the Graduate Teaching Licensure program a short time after my brother had passed. I had finally decided it was time. From all difficult situations, there is insight, and I realized that it was either now or never, so I jumped in head first. My head wasn't right and my heart still broken, but I was going to do it. I was going to finish. And I did. I sincerely dedicate this to him.

Over the last two years, it hasn't always been pretty. I've been stressed and cranky, juggling my current job, my children, my husband, his business venture, social and family events. All the while, I felt completely excited, intrigued, and anxious. The time is finally here!!

I owe a lot to this man, my husband, for his patience and encouragement. I love him. And he loves me just as much for having one more year left to complete my Masters...;-)
Time to get a job!
