:: first baseball game ::

Besides the fact that Owen was basically born with a baseball bat in his hand, he loves the game. His interest is even held by televised games (now I have two of them in the house.....). So, it was very exciting to watch him play in his first Little League game. Sure, t-ball was fun, but this is where it's at!
As I started to look through these photos, I noticed that Owen basically whistled his way through this game. Now, he does whistle quite often, but this is just amusing.

Whistling on base.

Bring it home, O!

:: jaren + kate ::

We hopped in the car again for a 5-hour trip, this time to Marquette, MI to celebrate the marriage of my cousin, Jaren, and his lovely new wife, Kate. We brought a few cute faces along...

The ceremony took place at Trailhead Park, complete with a peaceful woods setting, a string quartet, birds chirping, complimentary white umbrellas, and a few mosquitos.

The reception took place at The Waterfront Restaurant in downtown Marquette. The venue's rustic modern interior included exposed brick walls and wooden beamed ceilings. It made for a warm and intimate atmosphere, and a very enjoyable party!

Their first kitty cocktails.
The band, The Appleseed Collective, was amazing. They were so fun to listen and dance to...and the impromptu Chicken Dance may have gotten a little crazy...
